Exploring the visual language of music through album artwork, typography and digital collage.

About this project

Music and graphic design share the ability to create atmosphere and communicate emotion, without explaining everything literally.

For this album artwork, I explored how a musical influence can be translated into a visual composition. I worked with a digital collage of photographs, textures and graphic elements, built on a strong contrast between dark blue, white and red.

I built the design up in layers in Photoshop and then presented it as a vinyl sleeve, to see how it works as a physical product.
